Welcome to my online classroom! What a delight it is to be your teacher and managing our SPANISH LANGUAGE ACQUISITION through this amazing time of learning online (everyone! everywhere!!) because of “social distancing.” I pray that your Spring Break was an amazing and memorable one. I know that mine was …
Let me ASSURE YOU that, though we are required to do “social distancing,” we are NOT required to distance ourselves emotionally or intellectually or otherwise. So, I want you to know that I AM HERE FOR YOU; I am here to help you learn and to be successful! I am you advocate in this process. OK? Feel free to email me questions—or text me if you are more comfortable doing so—and I will do my very best to help you in ANY class that you’re needing some help, including my own.
My “AT SCHOOL” OFFICE HOURS will be Tuesdays and Thursdays until otherwise notified. My “ONLINE” OFFICE HOURS” will be held during the hours of school: 7:45a to 4p daily, Monday through Friday. I will answer your emails and texts as promptly as possible; however, please keep in mind that there may be a little bit of a learning curve for all of initially, so my responses my be delayed. OK? If you are needing an immediate answer, TEXT ME: 432.386.0606.
I will post my lesson plans by Monday morning at 7:45a each week EXCEPT FOR THIS WEEK. Mrs. Acosta has asked us to develop our lesson plans for online learning and to post them by Wednesday morning. I plan to, however, have them available to you by tomorrow, Tuesday. OK? In the meantime, for fun and independent learning, you can work on DuoLingo.com for 45 minutes. You can use your phone (app) OR you can go to their website if you prefer to work from your computer. In the meantime, think CREATIVELY about how you can encourage others during this unprecedented time in history when many are uncertain about the future. We can impact the world around us by doing posts on Social Media—IN SPANISH (and in English, too)—so get ready to have some fun with Social Media and LANGUAGE!
