COURSE: BUSINESS INFORMATION MANAGEMENT- I & II

Course Content – What You Will Learn:

Review keyboarding skills, and increase speed and accuracy, in both alphabetic and numeric keyboarding.

Review beginning word processing skills and learn intermediate skills related to word processing of business-related documents.

Learn spreadsheet applications relating to business. (inventory control, schedules, etc).

Learn database management relating to a business.

Investigate careers related to business and computer information systems.

Learn the use of presentation systems relating to a business.

Create documents using desktop publishing skills.

Learn to use the Internet as a tool for use in projects.

Use skills in creating integrated projects.

 

Course Description-

students implement personal and interpersonal skills to strengthen individual performance in the workplace and society. 

Students apply technical skills to address business software applications of emerging technologies,

  • Create word-processing documents
  • Develop a spreadsheet
  • Create databases 
  • Make an electronic presentation using appropriate software.

 

This class will be taught for students to earn professional certifications in the following software's 

  • NOTE: It is necessary to take BIM-1 and BIM-2.
  • Microsoft Office 2016 Word – Certification – will be posted on your diploma transcript.
  • Microsoft Office 2016 Excel – Certification – will be posted on your diploma transcript.

 

BIM-2 – Will participate in UIL – Computer Applications conferences and competitions.
